• Digital Literacy at the Early Ed Center

The definition of digital literacy is to be able to effectively find, identify, evaluate, and use information. Digital literacy specifically applies to media from the internet, smartphones, video games, and other nontraditional sources. Students everywhere are using digital media to explore, connect, create, and learn in ways never imagined.

Here in the Early Ed Center's Library and in computer classes, the little Spartans are taught digital literacy at an introductory level. Students will be taught to protect private information online, such as login codes, usernames, and passwords. Most importantly, the little Spartans will be taught to respect other's ideas and opinions as they become lifelong digital citizens.
