Hi, my name is Ellen Thompson and this is my fifth year serving as a self-contained special education teacher at Saraland High School.  This is my 23rd year in the classroom.  I taught students with significant disabilities at Augusta Evans in Mobile County from 2010-2020 at the elementary, middle and high school levels.  I also taught in an autism classroom in Florida for two years and at the Burkett Center for the Multi-Handicapped in Birmingham, AL for 7 years.  I am passionate about the learning needs of students with disabilities and love my job.  I have four children and two dogs that bring me great joy.
