WINTER GUARD The Saraland High School Winter Guard is a visual performing ensemble incorporating elements of modern dance along with traditional flag, rifle, and sabre in an indoor setting. The SHS Winter Guard is currently in its 9th year of operation. The Winter Guard performs and competes as a unit in the Spring all over the Gulf Coast and belongs to the Gulf Coast Guard and Percussion Circuit(GCGPC.org)
Auditions for this ensemble are held in late October or early November every year previous to the group beginning rehearsals. Audition information and material will be shared two weeks in advance of the audition. The Winter Guard Director is Miss Ashleigh Bryant.
