Course Title: Therapeutic Services
Course Description: Therapeutic Services is a one-credit course designed to inform students of the rapid changes in business and industry through a rigorous array of course work and work-based experiences to help prepare them for advanced learning and a wide range of health career opportunities. This course is designed to provide the local education agency flexibility to meet healthcare demands in the community. Students are introduced to careers in therapeutic services including, but not limited to, nursing, medicine, physical therapist, surgical technologist, respiratory therapist, emergency medical technician and others.
Career and technical student organizations are integral, co curricular components of each career and technical education course. These organizations serve as a means to enhance classroom instruction while helping students develop leadership abilities, expand workplace-readiness skills, and broaden opportunities for personal and professional growth.
